Tokyo, January 2025 – As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting safe and sustainable chemical management practices, Responsible Care Indonesia (RCI) was represented by Dr. Mas Ayu Elita Hafizah, Coordinator of Environmental & Sustainability Affairs RCI at the Training Program on Smart Industrial Safety Technology (ENTA) organized by The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) in Tokyo, Japan, from 20 to 24 January 2025.
Dr. Mas Ayu served as a speaker during the training, sharing insights on best practices in chemical safety and RCI’s active role in supporting industry stakeholders in Indonesia. Her presentation highlighted how integrating smart technologies and responsible care principles can improve not only industrial safety but also reduce environmental risks associated with hazardous chemical use.
The ENTA program brought together professionals and experts from various countries to exchange knowledge on innovative safety technologies and risk management strategies, particularly in high-risk industries such as chemicals and manufacturing. Through this participation, RCI contributed to international dialogue on strengthening environmental stewardship by leveraging data-driven safety systems that prevent pollution, reduce waste, and enhance emergency response mechanisms.
This international engagement aligns with RCI’s strategic vision of supporting the global environmental agenda by advocating for sustainable industrial practices and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across Southeast Asia. RCI’s involvement in such global training initiatives further demonstrates its commitment to environmental protection and capacity-building efforts consistent with the objectives of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
